Summer Open Results 2008 Congratulations goes to Ian Bullock on winning our Summer Open at Luffenham Heath Golf Club with an excellent 37 points on what proved to be a tough day of golf. Colin Oswin now leads the order of Merit with only 2 events left of the tour. Winter Open results The Forest of Arden played host to our Winter Open for 2008. It turned out to be a typical wet, windy and cold winters day. Congratulations to Alpesh Patel. Alpesh made the best of the bad conditions hitting a very respectable 31 points, which also after one event takes him to the top of our order of merit table, 2nd Place went to David Johnson with 29 points and 3rd to Wayne Brown with 28 points. Thanks to all that entered. Golfingdays Amateur Tour - Venues announced for 2008 Golfingdays are pleased to announce there venues for the Amateur tour for 2008. We start off at The Forest of Arden at the end of March, followed by Wollaton Park, Notts, then Luffenham Heath, Leics, then onto Beau Desert, Staffs and finally our season ending competition is being held at Breadsall Priory, Derbys. This years days all include breakfast rolls, tea and coffee, 18 holes of golf and food afterwards. We are also pleased to announce an increase in our prize funds. Golfingdays Champion golfer for 2007 A big congratulations goes to Darren Wade who at our Autumn Major at Chevin Golf club, was crowned our seasons Champion. Darren played consisitently well throughout the four majors and was a very deserved winner. Darren takes away a trophy and £250 of golf vouchers for his efforts.
