Our final event took place at Longcliffe Golf Club on October 21st.

There were still 5 competitors in with a chance of winning the season long order of merit and a chance to win the superb golf break at La Cala Golf resort in Spain courtesy of Villegas Golf Ltd.

With the top 4 in the OOM playing together it proved to be a tense day on the links.

Sean Pearson who has led the OOM since our 2nd event proved he had nerves of steel by finishing 8th on the day and earning just enough OOM points to become Golfing Days champion golfer for 2011. The final OOM standings can be viewed on our Midlands Amateur Tour page of our website.

Congratulations to Sean who now has the tricky decision on who he takes with him to La Cala!!

Alex Bond secured 2nd in the OOM and earnt himself a 50% exemption on 2012′s tour and Martin Oakes finished 3rd and secured himself a 25% exemption for 2012.

Thanks to all the competitors who took part in 2011 and hope to see you all back next year, with our first event at The Forest of Arden taking place on Feb 17th.
